Electoral: Women are not a “quota”

PROBLEM

In a recent TV interview (ANT1), Alexis Tsipras accused the Supreme Court of bias, as he said Section A1 of the Supreme Court ruled out far-right parties in favor of Kyriakos Mitsotakis. He did not specify whether he considers the Filonomi Dimegersia and Green & Purple massacres to be ultra-right, in addition to the Kasidiari party. Paradoxically, SYRIZA did not bother to read the electoral legislation for the very clear competencies of section A1. Mr. Tsipras’ advisers could tell him that the Supreme Court does not limit itself to procedural violations to exclude certain candidates from the election, but also intervenes, if it deems it necessary, on substantive issues.

ACCIDENT

The conflict between SYRIZA and the KKE on social media is violent. Co-government with N.D. The year 1989 is being used as an original sin, which, of course, artificially burdens only one of the sides of the historical united coalition. Based on this narrative, Synaspsimos is seen as the “shop” of Charilaos Florakis. And, of course, it is conveniently silent that the united Coalition participated in the ecumenical meeting of 89, from which the KKE was cut off, and subsequently the party better known today as SYRIZA emerged. This is the social media side of the conflict because, as you read in the side report, Alexis Tsipras is attacking gg KKE representative Dimitris Koutsoubas for comparing SYRIZA to ND. and a reference to the historical slogan “Ti Plastiras, ti Papagos”. Behind all this, of course, is nothing but Kumundur’s concern for the left of her organization, which is exposed to an anti-systemic – except for SYRIZA – pool of voters.

FACE

Eleni Chronopoulou. The PASOK MP candidate was asked during her televised interview (ERT) about a well-known painful case of violence she reported by Alexis Georgoulis. “I would not like to comment on whatever I said, I said and did,” said Ms Chronopoulou, who met with support from opposition candidates from other parties. In fact, SYRIZA state vote candidate Dora Tsambazis (widow of the late Olympic champion Alexandros Nikolaidis) intervened, stating that her decision should be respected as it was a delicate matter, and Ms Chronopoulou thanked her. The public stance of two women, such as Mr. Khronopulu and Mr. Tsambazi, confirms what is more or less known to everyone, but few acknowledge. When the discussion revolves around women whose careers and personal lives are separated from the gluttony of publicity, some perceive them only as victims. In general, however, both parties have made many loud promises about the need for better representation of both sexes in government, administration, parliament, and elsewhere. This also applies to the rest of the public sphere, where women appear almost like a forced quota. In terms of inclusion, we are not all right.

PLACE

ERT radio. The column told you yesterday about the outcome of the cross-party debate about the debate about wind and water, not substance. Finally, a request by journalists who will participate in the debate for a free question instead of a section of the final statement of the six political leaders was denied. The only change in the format of the debates is the addition of a sixth thematic section for youth. That is, the representatives of the parties refused to accept a free question after five parallel monologues and instead proposed adding another one, a sixth one … And all this before each leader makes his final position, apparently monologue. Since literalism is not an obvious point, if this is a discussion, then this column is “Medical Review”.

ATTACK

“The Prime Minister, with his detailed reports, positions and statements, unifying political speech and high sense of responsibility towards the prefecture, in fact, opened perhaps the most creative chapter in the life of society and in the eyes of young people. , leaving behind a feeling of confidence, security for all citizens of Ilya, without exception, outside and outside the parties”: an excerpt from the always capacious and exhaustive speech of a candidate for deputy, a former minister and European commissioner. Dimitris Avramopoulou, after the trip of Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Ilia, which, let’s not forget, once prospered under the House of Andigai.
