
In deciding to finally be one debate on state television between political leaders on Wednesday, May 10, at 21:00, the inter-party election commission ended, which has been sitting since Saturday morning (29/4) under the chairmanship of Minister of the Interior Kalliopi Spanu.
According to ERT, the representatives of the parties agreed that Giorgos Kouvaras will be the recognized journalist and member of ESIEA, who will coordinate the meeting of political leaders in connection with the May 21 elections.
The debate, which will last three hours, will show a total of six channels. According to the information, during the meeting, SYRIZA-PS objected to two televised matches.
A total of 5 +1 thematic sections will be devoted to political leaders. In particular, the following topics will be discussed: economics-development, foreign policy-defense, elections, government-institutions-transparency, healthcare-education-environment. Until there are questions and answers, political leaders will express their positions. The journalist’s question will last 30 seconds, and the answer – 1.5 minutes. The debate moderator will not have the right to ask a question if the questions are submitted by journalists from all channels of national coverage.
In the event that a journalist returns with a clarifying question, politicians must respond within 45 seconds.
