Yass Mayor Mihai Kirika said on Wednesday that he was surprised by the actions of prefect Bohdan Kojokara, who attacked in court the position of the mayor, to whom he delegates the right to sign to other heads of the mayor’s office.

According to a press release from the Iași Town Hall, quoted by News.ro, councilor Mihai Kirika “expressed his surprise and concern at the actions of prefect Bohdan Kojokaru” regarding the attack in court on the provision that regulated some administrative acts in the field of urban planning.

Mihai Kiritsa noted that by his order, in accordance with the current legislation, the mayor decided that the analysis, verification and signing of some documents related to the field of urban planning should be delegated to high-ranking persons and officials of the municipality, who have the authority in this regard. field.

At the same time, Kirika called on the prefect of Iași to dialogue and cooperate with the authorities of Iași before making such decisions that lead to a deadlock at the level of the local administration.

With this regulation, Mihai Kirika established that the vice mayors, the state administrator and three officials of the institution must sign “in the name and on behalf of the mayor” city documents such as building permits, town planning certificates or building structures.

According to the lawsuit filed in court, a document obtained by Ziarul de Iasi, the prefect says the provision is illegal because the mayor cannot delegate his “signature right.”

Journalists of the Iași newspaper clarified that it is not excluded that the process in the court of Iași will have an echo in some criminal cases in which the mayor and other officials are being investigated, given that Mihai Kiritsa built part of his defense before the prosecutors on the principle that they “sign as mayor” urban planning documentation, and the responsibility lies with those who compile it.
