Parliament has control over 23 state institutions, where it can appoint or dismiss people from their leadership. Subsequently, it was the politician who decided who came or left from the heads of the institutions that coordinate them.

BNR – governor “for life”, Iserescu earns more than 20,000 euros per month, vice-governors – 15,000 euros

The leadership of NBR has one position of manager, one first vice-governor, two positions of vice-governor and five members of the Board of Directors.

In 2021, Mugur Iserescu recorded an income of 1,216,064 lei, an average of 101,300 lei per month, i.e. more than 20,000 euros.

He has granted loans in his name to the amount of 1,147,529 lei (approximately €230,000) and owns shares to the amount of 1,159,557 lei (€231,000) and government securities to the amount of 1,010,817 lei.

First Vice Governor Florin Georgescu has an annual income of 1,087,725 lei, an average of 90,000 lei per month, i.e. 17,900 euros

Vice Governor Leonardo Badia has an annual income of 937,282 lei, an average of 78,000 lei per month, i.e. 15,600 euros.

BNR Vice Governor Eugen Nicolaescu, former Minister of Health and former PNL MP, was appointed in 2017 and has an annual income of 1,016,762 lei, an average of 84,700 lei per month, i.e. 16,900 euros.

According to the declaration of wealth, Nicolaescu owns three country plots in Bucharest, three apartments in Bucharest, numismatic gold coins worth 48,097 lei. In his accounts there is an amount of 253,157 lei, 11,451 euros and investment funds in the amount of 92,000 lei, as well as a loan of 392,000 lei.

Members of the Board of Directors of the BNR receive an annual remuneration of 4,000 to 6,000 euros.

In the wealth declaration section, the data of Dan Radu Rusan and Christian Popa are highlighted.

Dan Radu Rushanu has been a member of the Board of Directors of the BNR since 2019. A former PNL politician and parliamentarian until 2016, Rusanu was also president of the Financial Supervision Authority.

Rushanu was previously arrested in 2014 in the Carpatica Asig case and was investigated for aiding and abetting a criminal, influencing statements, creating an organized criminal group and complicity in abuse of office. In 2017, he was acquitted by the court in the Carpatica case and received moral compensation of 75,000 lei for damages claimed after the arrest.

According to the declaration of wealth, Rushanu had an annual income of 368,600 lei, an average of 30,700 lei per month, i.e. 6,000 euros.

In the property declaration, Rusanu indicated three agricultural plots, one forest plot and two urban plots. He stated in the declaration of wealth and jewels, paintings and works of art in the amount of 63,500 euros. In 2021, he sold intavilan land for 2.4 million euros and transferred real estate worth 2,446,603 euros to a member of his family. He also granted a loan of 396,200 euros.

Christian Popa, a member of the Board of the BNR, had an annual income of 266,547 lei, an average of 22,000 lei per month, i.e. 4,400 euros.

According to his wealth declaration, Popa has seven agricultural plots, two rural plots, five apartments, a numismatic collection worth 117,838 lei, and loans from various banks amounting to 1,178,514 lei (€235,000).

Incomes of the management of TVR and Public Radio

The President-CEO of TVR, appointed by the Parliament in 2021 on the proposal and support of the PNL, Dan Christian Turturica, had an income of 440,690 lei last year, an average of 36,700 lei per month, i.e. 7,300 euros.

According to the property declaration, Turturică has two urban plots in Ilfovo, one in Bucharest and one in Brasov. He also owns a house in Bucharest, three cars and paintings and jewelry worth €74,000. Turturică sold land worth €42,000, with €47,713 and 256,070 lei in his accounts.

Ramona Seseanu, general producer of TVR, has an annual income of 181,825 lei, an average of 15,000 lei per month, i.e. 3,000 euros.

Rezvan Ioan Dinke, CEO of the Romanian Radio Society (SRR), was appointed by the Parliament in November 2021. Dinke was proposed and supported by PSD. He was the director of the National Opera in Bucharest and was investigated by the DNA, accused of several crimes of abuse of office and conflict of interest. Dinka was initially sentenced to 6 years in prison, but after an appeal the court acquitted him.

SRR Executive President Rezvan Ioan Dinka has an annual income of 559,732 lei, an average of 46,600 lei per month, i.e. 9,300 euros.

Income from NARE

Dumitru Chirice, President of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), was appointed by the Parliament in 2017 at the suggestion and support of the PSD.

The ANRE president was also a PSD deputy and a former vice-president of the National Health Insurance Fund. He is an electrician by profession and studied law at a private university without graduating. Kiritse supported Liviu Dragnia.

Dumitru Chirica received an amount of 710,564 lei (145,000 euros) from ANRE in the previous financial year, an average of 59,100 lei per month (12,080 euros).

In the declaration of wealth, Čirica transferred two agricultural plots in Terteşeşti, Dambovitsa, one with an area of ​​5,400 square meters and the other with an area of ​​7,500 square meters, land in the city center in the same area and forest land in Arges.

In the accounts, the president of ANRE declared 1.15 million lei in a current account opened in 2020 at BCR, 146 thousand lei in an account with Raiffeisen Bank and another 50 thousand lei in an account with BCR, as well as receivables in the amount of 753,435 lei from sales urban land

Zoltan Nagy, vice-president of ANRE, proposed and supported by UDMR, received an allowance of 626,975 lei, an average of 52,000 lei per month (11,000 euros).

Mircea Man, vice-president of ANRE, was a PDL MP for Maramures (five seats) and was proposed and supported by the PNL. He has an annual allowance of 626,975 lei, an average of 52,000 lei per month (€11,000).

The salaries of SPP and DPS managers are higher than those of NDI and DIE

Lucian Pahontzu, director of SPP, has an annual income of 313,099 lei, which is on average 26,000 lei per month or 5,000 euros more than the directors of SRI and SIE, respectively.

The first deputy director of the SPP, Major General Daniel Ion Balasha, earns 263,310 lei per year, an average of 21,900 lei per month (4,000 euros).

The director of STS, Lieutenant General Yonel-Sorin Balan, has an annual salary of 249,542 lei, an average of 20,700 lei per month (over 4,000 euros).
