
The government will hold a meeting on Wednesday to approve the methodological rules for the application of emergency decree 90/2022 regarding the possibility of deferring bank loan payments.
According to the draft rationale, the period for which benefits are granted to suspend and defer the payment of due payments related to loans, which are capital contributions, interest and fees provided to borrowers by mortgage lenders, is set based on the borrower’s choice and ranges from one to nine months, reports Agerpres.
Reimbursement of installments, interest and due fees may be suspended only for loans that meet the following aggregate conditions: they are granted up to and including April 30, 2022; the deadline for repayment of installment obligations provided for in credit agreements is the next on the date of the demand for suspension of payment; they have not registered any arrears in the last six months before the date of the request for the suspension of the payment obligation and do not register any arrears even on the date of the request for the suspension of the payment obligation.
The executive power will also discuss the draft decision on the creation of a state aid scheme for the purpose of providing grants for investments intended for the manufacturing industry.
The Chuke Cabinet is to allocate another 1,711,000 lei for the counties of Dambovitsa, Teleorman, Timis and Tulcea, which were affected by natural disasters. The amount came from the Intervention Fund available to the Government, provided for in the state budget for this year.
- Another draft decision concerns the provision of emergency aid in the total amount of 1,054,500 lei to support a total of 247 families and single individuals from several counties and Bucharest who are in emergency situations caused by fires, floods or special situations determined by the state, health or other reasons that may lead to an increased risk of social exclusion.
- Another draft decision on the Government’s agenda is aimed at supplementing the maximum number of positions of the Support Structure of European prosecutors delegated to Romania with 15 positions of judicial police officers and agents.
- The Government will also approve the payment of Romania’s voluntary financial contribution to the budget of the Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Ukraine.
- The agenda of the meeting also includes a draft decision on approving the technical and economic indicators of the investment goal “New headquarters of the emergency hospital named after prof. Dr. Dimitrie Gerota”, MAI Emergency Hospital. The total cost of the investment is 2,040,142,000 lei (including VAT).
A memorandum on the admission to trading on the regulated market administered by the Bucharest Stock Exchange of the shares of Societăţii Nationale a Sării SA through an initial public offering by Fondul Proprietatea SA is to be approved at the government meeting.
The executive power will also discuss a memorandum on approval of the results of prioritization of significant state investment projects for use in the process of developing the draft law on the state budget for 2023.
