The onslaught of original productions on Netflix is unstoppable, and almost every one of them has countless views. “The Luckiest Girl Alive / The luckiest girl” proves once again that subscribers do not pay attention to the chronicles of professional critics when they decide to press “play”.

The Mila Kunis movie premiered only last Friday, but it instantly entered the TOP 10 in 79 countries, in 49 it is right at the top, where today it is in no less than 63 (including Romania, if still clarification needed)!

Following in the footsteps of “Blonde” and “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone / Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, both released in the last 10 days, Happiest Girl Alive didn’t even care about reviews (which can be classified as mediocre at best) to enjoy massive success.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the story of a screenwriter who confronts her own dark past when a crew making a documentary about a true murder begins to unravel what happened in her high school years has angered industry critics, who gave it a poor 43%.

But viewers were much more excited and gave it a 77%, if any more proof was needed that subscribers don’t care what the critics say.

It still has a mediocre rating (6.3/10) on IMDb and an even worse 5.4 on Metacritic from just seven altruists who got pissed off and thought to tell others that maybe they have something better.

The Netflix brand has become so strong that almost anything can be topped with a catchy tagline, but we still want positive reviews to be the rule, not the exception.
