A representative for actress Ann Hatch told Variety that “she will not survive” after suffering a severe brain injury in a car accident on August 5, News.ro reports.
“We want to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers for Ann’s recovery, and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses who cared for Ann at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
“Unfortunately, as a result of the accident, Ann Hatch suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma in a critical condition. She is not expected to survive,” he added.
Hachie drove into a home in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles last Friday, in a coma with severe burns. On Monday, her representatives said she was in “extremely critical condition.”
Los Angeles police are investigating whether she was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash, as drugs were found in her blood but could have come from medication she was given at the hospital.
Hachi remains connected to the machines because “she had decided to donate her organs for a long time” and doctors are determining whether some of them are viable.
“Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit,” the statement continued. “More than her extraordinary talent, she gave kindness. She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and greatly missed for her light.”
Hechie is a television and film veteran who rose to fame in the late 1990s as Ellen DeGeneres’ partner. After the relationship ended, Geci said that both the publicity and notoriety that followed hurt her career.
She starred in Donnie Brasco (1997) and I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), Six Days and Seven Nights (1998). Series in which he appeared: “Allie McBeal”, “Everwood”, “Tree Men” and “The Michael J. Fox Show”, “Gracie’s Choice” and “Gone”. He won a Daytime Emmy for his role in Another World.
