The State Consumer Service and the Ministry of Research are working on the creation of an application that will centralize all control carried out by state institutions. Fair economic operators that do not receive sanctions will no longer be monitored in the future, ANPC CEO Paul Angel said on Friday.
“There is a proposal that this program should include absolutely all verification and control actions, including consulting business entities. It is good for any business entity to see what problems there were in relations with state bodies,” said Angel during the PRIA conference “Consumer Protection”.
He added that if business entities behave properly, they should be monitored very rarely or only if they want certain advice.
“Somehow go into the green corridor. So let’s let them do what they do best, make money and be honest with consumers,” Angel added.
Ana-Maria Baciu, managing partner of the law firm Simion&Baciu, was skeptical about the appearance of this “green belt”, which the representative of ANPC spoke about.
“I don’t think this application will lead to that green corridor, but I hope it will solve another problem we have, which is partial control by several authorities. I don’t expect that if ANPC comes today, ANAF won’t come tomorrow, but I want that if ANPC comes today, ANSVSA won’t come tomorrow, or vice versa, if ANSVSA comes today, ANPC won’t come tomorrow either,” he said with a kiss
Even in Europe, we are not in an extraordinary situation in terms of the clarity of directives and legal norms, she added.
“But the appearance of this application is very good news, we are moving towards the normalization of relations between the authorities and business entities.”
The government is looking for funding for this program
For his part, the Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitization Bohdan Ivan stated that this application aims to avoid duplication of control bodies when they go to check a business entity.
“We are working on the design of a unique control program of the institutions of the Romanian state, together with those of the ANPC, in which we want there to be no more coincidence of control authorities when they go to check – maybe even three or four institutions – on the same economic agent in one day, maybe even in the same case,” Ivan, quoted by Agerpres, said yesterday.
“After we take this step, it is obvious that everything will be transparent and no one will be able to come the next and third day to fine you in the same way. In this form, everything will be made public,” he added.
He noted that the design of the application has already been made and now the authorities are looking for a source of funding for this application.
