The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) approved on Wednesday the granting of a gas supply license to one of the companies owned by businessman Augustin Oance. It is one of the largest and most influential players in the electricity and gas market in Romania, and the newly acquired license complements those it already has in the supply sector.

Recently, Tinmar Energy, the main company it controls, Tinmar Energy SA, received a record fine of 364 million lei from ANRE for manipulating the energy market, together with three other suppliers.

As a reminder, HotNews.ro exclusively revealed that ANRE has sanctioned four electricity suppliers/traders with record fines for manipulating the energy market in Romania. Among them are companies that HotNews.ro reported to have made huge profits in 2022, at the height of the energy crisis, one of them being Tinmar Enery.

Gas supply license for electricity producer AMV SOLAR

NARE agreed on Wednesday to issue a license for natural gas supply activities to economic operator AMV SOLAR SRL. This company, whose main activity is the generation of electricity, has Tinmar Energy SA as its sole shareholder, is 12 years old, and is managed by Augustin Oancea.

With only three employees, last year it made a profit of 2 million lei, which exceeds the turnover of 1.6 million lei.

Augustin Oancea and his business: huge profits during the energy crisis

Augustin Oansei is perceived in the market as a reserved businessman from Campina, but at the same time he is considered the “smartest” boy in the energy sector at the moment. He controls a large part of the electricity market not only through Tinmar Energy SA, but also through other smaller companies with a small number of employees, but with which he manages to make huge profits.

Founded in 2015, Tinmar Energy SA has quickly become one of the largest energy suppliers in the country. The company with 80 employees, an energy supplier, had in 2022, at the height of the energy crisis, a record turnover of 9.2 billion lei, up 157% compared to 2021, and a profit of 523.7 million lei, up 266% more than in the previous year. year.

And 2023 was a very profitable year for Tinmar Energy, even though the energy crisis is over, according to Termene.ro, the net profit was 311 million lei on a turnover of 3.1 billion lei.

This is not the only company with which businessman Augustin Oancea earned hundreds of millions of lei on the energy market during the energy crisis. With only one employee, energy supplier Solprim SRL had a turnover of 770.8 million lei in 2022, an increase of 18,346%, and a profit of 103.4 million lei, an increase of 3,298%.

In 2023, Solprim’s turnover fell to 560 million lei and profit to 43 million lei, but even with these drops, last year’s results are well above those obtained before the energy crisis. In 2021, the turnover was only 4 million lei, and the profit – 3 million lei.

Another company is Eye Mall SRL, which with three employees had a turnover of 670 million lei in 2022, an increase of 6,060%, and a profit of 54.7 million lei, an increase of 345% compared to 2021. The company’s shareholders are Aderlyne Limited Cyprus with 99.9% and Tinmar Energy 0.001%. The administrator is Augustin Oancea.

In the TOP-TOP Forbes 500, August Oancha ranks 20th in Romania with 1.4 billion lei. In addition to the supply of electricity and natural gas, the Tinmar Group is also engaged in the development of renewable energy production capacity, operating more than 100 MW of capacity installed in photovoltaic parks.

In addition, Tinmar is collaborating with Oltenia Energy Complex to develop four 280 MW solar parks and a 475 MW CCGT Turceni gas plant.
