American actor Robert Downey Jr., who just won his first Oscar in his career, revealed the “two-week rule” that helped him stay happily married for 19 years, and his wife Susan Downey also works in Hollywood, according to Business Insider . .

“We have a two-week rule, which often seems like too long, but we never go more than two weeks without seeing each other and being with family,” Downey Jr. told People magazine after the win . Speaking about the success of his second marriage, Downey Jr. said that despite following the “two-week rule,” things don’t always go according to plan because he and his wife also work in Hollywood.

“You stick to the two-week rule and try not to think too far ahead because a lot of what we do is surprisingly unpredictable,” he said.

Although Susan Downey is less known to the general public than her famous husband, she is a successful producer in Hollywood with a portfolio of films and series such as Sweet tooth, Perry Mason, Doolittle, Rock and roll, Gothic, Sherlock Holmes, Book of Eli or Iron man 2.

Susan Downey and her husband also have a production company they founded together, Team Downey.

But she says that fortunately, being a film producer and not working in front of the camera, her work schedule is not as chaotic as her husband’s.

“The good news is that I’m not in front of the camera, and as a producer I have a little more flexibility in terms of where I can work and where I need to be,” she told People magazine.
