Registration of vehicles this year will be possible online, in a few clicks, through the platform of the Main Department of Driver’s Licenses and Registration, the Ministry of Interior announced on Friday. With the exception of obtaining registration numbers, which will remain a physical requirement, all other aspects of the registration process will be done online, supported by the Ministry.

Currently, the specialists of the General Directorate of Driving Licenses and Registration are developing an online platform, connecting with other relevant agencies in this activity to ensure an efficient, simple and hassle-free registration process.

Thanks to this IT platform, a citizen will have the opportunity to fully submit an online request for deciphering the transfer of ownership of a vehicle, issuing a new registration certificate or removing a vehicle.

In addition to the advantages of online vehicle registration, the applicant will no longer have to go to the tax office to declare the vehicle, and the number of required documents will be significantly reduced.

When the platform becomes operational, the time spent at specially equipped cash registers will be reduced to a minimum, and travel costs to registration service offices will disappear, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
