Currently, our institution is trying (since 2018) to become part of the strategy of financial education, having passed a series of discussions, including with the Ministry of Education, in which the fiscal educational component, from our point of view, occupies a primary role, announced Mihaela Dragulin, director general of the General Directorate of Assistance ANAF taxpayers.

“After all, we are doing financial education in vain if we do not understand that the tax part also contributes to the whole Romanian society. People should understand the need to pay taxes and fees: why we should pay them and how,” she said during an event organized by FACIAS.

She says that without the help of other institutions, ANAF managed in 2022 and 2023 to turn to various prestigious universities in Romania to conduct a series of campaigns “and explain to future taxpayers what they have to pay, what voluntary tax compliance means, what means of financial morality and how they can meet their financial obligations.”
