Nokia released the Nokia 3310 on September 1, 2000, and it quickly became one of the most famous and best-selling devices of all time.

The company boasts that the new device has “unique chat features that allow users to send text messages from their phone while on the move.” The Nokia 3310 is “slim and weighs just 133 grams”, comes with Space Impact and Bantumi games and has a built-in antenna so it’s easy to take anywhere.

On the same day, the company is also launching Nokia FriendsTalk, a carrier-dependent service that lets you chat in groups with other users.

Today, September 1, 2000, the Finnish company Nokia is the number one mobile phone manufacturer in the world with sales of 19.8 billion euros and more than 60,000 employees worldwide.
