According to Vola.ro, more than 95% of New Year’s Eve bookings were made for Europe, with the remaining percentage split almost equally between destinations in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

“Among the European countries to which the most plane tickets were booked on New Year’s Eve are Italy, the destination most often found in the top of favorite destinations of Romanian tourists, with 22% of bookings, Great Britain with 14% of bookings. and Germany with 9% of bookings. At the same time, there are large communities of Romanians in these states, so it is likely that many will go to their relatives or friends living abroad and spend the end of 2023 together,” the company said in a statement.

According to the same source, the list of European countries where he will fly on New Year’s Eve also includes France, Austria, Romania, Spain, Belgium, Ireland and Greece.

The European cities preferred by Romanians are London, Paris, Milan, Vienna and Rome, cities known as holiday destinations. Rounding out the booking table are Brussels, Dublin, Munich, Venice and Athens – these are the other destinations where Romanians will go at the end of the year.
