Why is the arrival of a single train in Romania a historic event? – Some questions and answers
On December 14, the RE-IR1 ARF project team and the Egis Rail management team inspected a train brought by Alstom Ferroviaria to Romania for delivery to the ARF. The inspection followed the notification sent by the supplier for the day and is part of the official procedures for delivery, release to passengers and, subsequently, acceptance of the rail transport. No serious defects were found during the inspection.
During the next period, Alstom must complete the restoration of the identified points, including conducting dynamic train demonstrations.
Once the entire process is complete, based on Alstom’s announcement, ARF will be able to present the train to the public before putting it into service for passengers. This stage also involves obtaining the necessary permits from traffic safety authorities in the railway sector.
