The public association “Code for Romania” launched the eighth decision from the campaign “Wait, Romanians. #PUTEM3000: the first” – map of police stations in Romania – SectiiDePolitie.ro – a free platform to access detailed information about each section, inspection or police department in Romania, available in Romanian, English and Ukrainian languages.

SectiiDePolitie.ro contains the first interactive map of police precincts and offers a new dimension of accessibility and transparency, available in Romanian, English and Ukrainian, to support Romanian and foreign citizens living or passing through the territory, as well as Ukrainian refugees due to wars by a neighboring state, facilitating access to important information for everyone, says the press release of the organization.

SectiiDePolitie.ro is part of a series of digital solutions that respond to the current problems of Romanians, free solutions created by Code for Romania in an unprecedented campaign: 12 solutions in 12 weeks, launched before the end of the year under the motto “We can’t wait anymore. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”

The map contains verified information and is available to anyone who wants to know about the availability of public order protection services, regardless of the settlement in which he lives or passes through. Easy and intuitive access to information can help strengthen the relationship between the community and the police, as well as contribute to the transparency of the institution’s activities.

What information can be found on SectiiDePolitie.ro?

  • Contact details and directions to the nearest police station, concentrated on the Interactive Map of Police Stations, so that you can access the services of this institution, wherever you are;
  • Access to important information about the structure and activities of the local police in Romanian, English and Ukrainian languages;
  • Detailed information about the services offered and other important details about the activities of the municipal police, general police departments and local inspectorates.

“Our goal is to translate this first interactive map of police stations into all minority languages, as well as other international languages. The latest solution launched as part of our campaign offers an efficient and quick way to better familiarize yourself with police resources and services. And we want it to also contribute to the development of safer, more informed communities, offering a comprehensive view of the institution’s services, regardless of their location, anywhere in Romania”, says Olivia Vereha, co-founder and director of Product Code for Romania. .
