The general strike in CFR SA, which was threatened by trade union activists led by Grigore Marais, will no longer be launched in accordance with the agreement with the administration of the railway infrastructure company, writes Railway Club.
“The National Trade Union Bloc informs that as a result of negotiations between the management of two state-owned railway companies – CFR Infrastracture and CFR Călători – and the management of the National Federation of Commercial Railway Transport (FNFMCV) – an agreement was reached to end the labor conflict. The agreement also provides for the signing of a collective labor agreement from November 30, 2023. Thus, the strike announced by the FNFMCV, which is part of the National Trade Union Bloc, will no longer take place,” BNS said in a statement.
Two weeks ago, the first information appeared that the National Federation of Commercial Wagon Traffic wants to start an indefinite general strike on November 27. A press release also appeared on November 23. On Monday, the unions announced that they would postpone the start of the strike for two days. It is now clear that the strike will no longer be held.
