
From 28 models, seven finalists were chosen to compete for the title “Car of the Year 2024” in Europe. The finals will be dominated by electric SUVs, a Chinese model and a premium German car made it to the final stage.
The seven cars selected for the European Car of the Year 2024 final are: BMW 5 Series, BYD Seal, Kia EV9, Peugeot e-3008/3008, Renault Scenic, Toyota C-HR and Volvo EX30.
A jury of automotive journalists from 22 countries chose the finalists from a list of 28 models. Six of the 28 cars on the long list were from Chinese brands, mostly BYD.
The winning car will be announced on February 26, 2024 at the Geneva Motor Show.
In 2023, the title was won by the Jeep Avenger, in 2022 by the Kia EV6, and in 2021 by the Toyota Yaris.
