An ordinance limiting commercial addition may not have much effect. It also has many ambiguities. Feliciu Parasciv, vice-president of the National Association of Small and Medium-Sized Traders of Romania, claims that the price of oil is currently 4.5-5 lei.
“Since the decrees were spoken and started to appear, the oil at the factory started to rise little by little, even if sunflower is produced, even if the price of energy carriers is limited, even if the price of diesel fuel has decreased. The price of oil increases a little every week. why So that they have a place to fall,” he said during the CLCC conference.
The price of other products will increase: we will raise the price of toothpaste and make milk cheaper
“This is a populist law. There will be practically no effect. It will be like a voluntary agreement to reduce the price of milk. He was not even visible. The price reduction of only 1 liter of milk by 1.5% was not even felt on the market,” said Parashchiv.
- “We have nowhere to get money, from dry stone. We will hold out for a month, two, three, they will screw us over and raise the prices of other goods. It is clear that they will grow. We have to pay these salaries. Where do we cut from?”
“We are raising the prices of toothpaste and will make milk cheaper. The client will not notice this, because he buys toothpaste once a month, he will not see that the price has increased by 5-10%, but he will see it when he cuts a plain white bread,” says the representative of the association.
Which products will be cheaper? The resolution is full of ambiguities
“The genie is out of the bottle and cannot be put back. We looked at the text and, unfortunately, there are many ambiguities, which we would have said from the beginning if we had been invited to the discussion,” said Parashchiv.
What ambiguities he mentioned:
1. Plain white bread 350 gr. Q: Sliced? Enter or not? There is regular white bread and regular sliced white bread.
2. 1 liter of fresh milk. Is UHT also included? Is UHT considered fresh?
3. Telemea bulk cheese. Speaking of Telemea bulk cheese, I think it’s 2% of cheeses as a market share. The consumer on the cheese shelf will hardly notice the decline.
The same thing happens with yogurt. Yogurt under 200 ml has almost no market share.
4. Look at the eggs: medium – 10 pcs. We have eggs packed in 6 pcs., 20 pcs., 30 pcs. He doesn’t come in, does he?
Our eggs are grown on the ground, others are in batteries.
5. Whole chicken thighs: both back and backless. We don’t know what he means.
6. Pork. Working pork and minced meat are approximately the same. When a customer asks me to cut some ground pork for them at a discount, I actually sell them ground pork. How do I play here?
7. Fresh white potatoes in bulk. There are two types of potatoes on the market: white and pink. Pink ones don’t go? What kind of potatoes are not fresh? Sweet potato, if fresh, to go or not?
The vice-president of the National Association of Small and Medium-Sized Traders of Romania says that the association was not invited to the discussions when the text of the emergency decree was being decided. The market share of these companies is 35%.
There are two Romanians: public and private
Feliciu Paraskiv also stated that we have two Romanians:
“1. Budget officers who have higher salaries. They have no purpose at all in their business, what they do every day. Look at the teachers: they asked for higher salaries, got them and got the worst results of tenure in recent years.
In a private company where you ask for a higher salary, get it, and get worse results, you get fired.
2. Of those who work privately: taxpayers who have to support the salaries and whims of those who lived in the first Romania. We are inundated with regulations, unnecessary requirements, taxes, and all such things that attack us.”
