
Some 39% of Romanians say they will not go on vacation at all this summer, and of those who will, more than 73% will spend their summer vacation in Romania, according to a survey conducted by CEC Bank in partnership with bank comparator FinZoom .ro.
As for the budget allocated this year for the holiday, about 10% of respondents indicated that they will allocate less than 1,000 lei, almost 25% answered between 1,000 – 3,000 lei, 14.5% will allocate from 3,000 to 6,000 lei, approximately 9% planned from 6 000 to 10,000 lei and almost 4% intend to spend more than 10,000 lei. It should be noted that almost 39% of respondents claim that they will not go on vacation this summer.
To the question – Where will you spend your vacation this year – more than 34% of respondents answered – in Romania, at the sea, about 32% answered in Romania, in the mountains and almost 7% will spend their vacation with relatives/ in the country. At the same time, more than 20% of respondents say that they will spend their vacation abroad.
Regarding vacation bookings, more than 76% of Romanians indicated that they take care of this aspect personally, while approximately 24% of them use the services of a travel agency.
When asked “How many days can you afford to go on vacation this summer”, more than 43% of those who answered the survey indicated that they would go on vacation for 3-4 days this year, more than 36% said that they chose to spend 7 days of vacation , about 11% will go on vacation for 10 days and almost 10% will spend 14 days or more on vacation.
Vacation is the main reason for 56% of Romanians who go on vacation, while more than 30% of respondents say they will combine the useful with the pleasant. For 13%, sightseeing is the main reason why they go on vacation, while only 1% of Romanians said they go on vacation for shopping.
When asked “Do you buy attraction tickets online”, more than 37% of respondents said they buy tickets online, while almost 63% said no and prefer to buy them directly at the box office.
The survey on preparation for the beginning of the academic year was conducted by online financial comparator FinZoom on behalf of CEC Bank on a representative sample of about 1,200 respondents from all over the country representing Internet users. 54.9% of respondents are employees, 74.83% live in the city, 38.08% have higher education.
