Corneliu Vadym Tudor’s latest art collection, considered a cultural treasure reflecting the political figure’s tastes and passions, is on display at auctionnext week at an event dedicated to contemporary Romanian art. The impressive art collection of Corneliu Vadym Tudor includes paintings, sculptures and cultural artifacts from different periods. Vasile Popescu, Léon Bijou, Henri Catargi, Sorin Ilfoveanu or Choreia Pastina are just some of the artists signing works from the collection of the Corneliu Vadym Tudor family, which will be auctioned on Thursday, July 13.

The still life “Ulcior cu lale” autographed by Vasile Popescu is the most valuable auction item from the collection of the Corneliu Vadym Tudor family and has a starting price of 1,800 euros. At the starting price of 1,200 euros, the famous work of Corneliu Vadym Tudor – “Interior with a guitar” autographed by Leon Bijou – is being put up for auction. From the same collection also come works with very affordable starting prices, only a few hundred euros. The starting price for Gutui by Horea Paștina is €500 and Girl with a Scarf by Ion Dobošariu is €300.

We will remind you that in April of this year, several dozen important works from the legacy of Corneliu Vadym Tudor’s family were put up for auction, which interested collectors of rarities and which probably will never appear on the market. again. The watercolor “Peasant House” autographed by Gheorghe Petrascu fetched €4,400, and “Rest in the Field” by Rudolf Schweitzer-Kumpena fetched €2,250.

As part of the Contemporary Art Auction, including the second part of the family collection of Corneliu Vadym Tudor, together with works of the politician’s family heritage, about 200 other works of art signed by masters of painting and sculpture will be exhibited.
