However, it should be noted that, according to the Institute of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises, orders from Germany in the third quarter did not change or even slightly decreased compared to the previous year. According to available information, this is due to the large number of promotions carried out by large German travel agencies in favor of Turkey and at the expense of mainly Spain and, secondly, Greece.

The most attractive prices in Türkiye they also form a competitive advantage. At the same time, some reservations are also being expressed for the US market, given the year-over-year depreciation of the dollar, which removes the relative benefit for travelers from the US to eurozone members such as Greece.

In any case, it is difficult to draw unambiguous conclusions about the overall result of tourist activity in Greece this year.

However, a more credible conclusion is that Greece tends to perform better in terms of revenue than in terms of tourist traffic, as its visitor identities tend to be higher in income, the same sources explain.
