Five ambassadors of the USA, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania (special representative) and Ukraine visited Alexandroupolis. For what reason? Official port visitor.

Unofficially and according to some data, it is reported about the “vertical corridor”. That is, the corridor that will connect Alexandroupolis with Ukraine bypassing the Dardanelles Strait, reports To Vima, which is quoted by Rador.

Now this is an extremely important corridor, given the development of events on the Ukrainian front. There was also a ship in the harbor, chartered by the Italian armed forces, unloading war materials.

Ambassadors were told that an American ship of the type that usually arrives, a Colossus that loads or unloads tanks and helicopters, is expected to arrive next week.

The visit was not official. They wanted to know everything even about LNG. But they stayed the longest in the port. The ambassadors discussed prospects for deepening cooperation in the fields of energy, economy, infrastructure, transport routes and networks connecting Greece with Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine.

The port of Alexandroupoli is a stopover for foreign embassies almost every day. The Chinese ambassador was also in Athens the other day, and he said (in a diplomatic way) that he was particularly impressed by the elegance of the city. During the visit, he also met with Mayor Yannis Zambukis. The British also made a stop in the area, as did the Italians and other NATO nations.
