The European startup promises that airplane what he is building will be able to cover the distance from Frankfurt to Sydney in 4 hours and 15 minutes. Founded in 2021, Switzerland-based Destinus aims to reduce flight times to less than a quarter of today’s air travel.

“We are trying to do very long distances and fly from Europe to Australia at Mach 5. Using kerosene means the car will be quite heavy, and hydrogen is very light by comparison.
