The law on solidarity tax, sent to Johannis for promulgation – a document

How much should OMV Petrom pay

According to the data of the annual report, in 2022 OMV Petrom processed 4.24 million tons of crude oil.

This would mean that he has to pay more than 1.484 billion lei.

It remains to be seen whether it will be appealed by the company.

OMV Petrom’s net profit last year was 10.3 billion lei, up 260% from the previous year, when it earned just 2.86 billion lei.

Another change targets companies like Black Sea Oil & Gas, which had to pay huge taxes because they had no production in previous years. Well, they will be released. The law clarifies: “taxpayers who did not receive production from the relevant deposits in the period 2018-2021 do not have to pay a solidarity contribution.”

The law has been sent to the president for promulgation.

We remind you that the Government wrote the Decree on solidarity tax poorly.
