Also, on April 22 (this was the date when Viktor Chutaku addressed the topic of Yulia Marin for the second time), the last broadcasts of advertisements for the sausage manufacturer Caroli Foods and the brand of paper napkins Pufina also took place.
The last places at the retailer were on April 21 (on the first evening of Yulia Marin’s theme). We are talking about the “Penny” chain of stores.
According to Paginademedia.ro, until April 22, advertisements for such brands as Ariel, Fairy, Oral B, Lenor, Old Spice, Pantene and Head & Shoulders were broadcast on Romanian television. All these products are in the portfolio of Procter & Gamble, one of the largest advertisers on the Romanian market.
Earlier this week, Vodafone and two other companies disappeared from the advertising templates of the Romanian TV channel after the attacks launched on the Victor Ciutaku show in the case of the journalist Julia Marin, who died at the age of just 32.
Vodafone aired the ad on Romanian television until April 21, when the second episode of Punctul culminant aired, covering the death of journalist Julia Marin and the attacks on Katelin Tolontan. Later, Romanian television reported in a statement that “Iulia Marin was helped by her colleagues and Katelin Tolontan. Only she was helped to end her life by suicide.”
The telecommunications operator is not the only one who is no longer among the clients of the TV channel – Zalando and Player have also disappeared since April 23, Pagina de Media reports.
On Tuesday, the National Audiovisual Council discussed the report in the case of Victor Chutac’s show on Romanian television, where the death of journalist Julia Marin was qualified with phrases such as: “These people have mental disorders, they were the production of press materials,” “Miss Marin’s pen is a weapon . Which, used dishonestly, can destroy fortunes”, “Wrongly advertised as a media experiment” or “I would not allow a person with mental problems to work for me”.
Viktor Chutaku also took part in the meeting, who supported the same theses, accused CNA members of impartiality and complained that he was summoned to be accused.
Starting Thursday, dozens of editors, journalists, medical associations, non-governmental organizations and activists from Romania signed an appeal against hate speech and discrimination practiced by Romanian television after the death of journalist Julia Marin.
