Max Verstappen, second – Lewis Hamilton, fifth in qualifying in Baku
Leclerc finished first in qualifying at the Baku street circuit for the third consecutive year, but the race has so far been won by Sergio Perez (2021) and Max Verstappen (2022).
Reigning world champion Verstappen finished second in qualifying, while Lewis Hamilton will go into Sunday’s race from fifth.
The first part of the qualification was interrupted due to the accidents of Dutchman Nick de Vries (AlphaTauri) and Frenchman Pierre Gasly (Alpine). The single-seaters of both were damaged, but both drivers were unharmed.
