We want our societies and economies to thrive together by cutting emissions, protecting the environment, decarbonizing our energy systems and making our industries cleaner. Wednesday. It is noted that this is only the second agreement of its kind after the EU Green Alliance. – Japan signed the EU in 2021. and Norway also agree to jointly further advance action on climate change at the global level.

To this end, both sides, as major donors playing a leading role in climate finance, will work together to support developing and emerging market economies in the implementation of their climate and environmental policies. The agreement, which aims to keep global warming within 1.5°C, confirms that full adherence to the precautionary principle is of paramount importance for the Arctic region.
