Fifteen training and employment programs for nearly 60,000 beneficiaries were thrown into the fight against unemployment by the State Employment Service. (DOUBLE). These are 8 programs aimed at professional development unemployed and 7 other targeted job search programs that address either areas with pockets of unemployment or beneficiary groups such as youth, women and the long-term unemployed.

Education

The study programs that mainly focus on developing the professional skills of the unemployed in order to increase their opportunities to connect to the labor market are as follows:

1. Consulting support, training, certification and employment of unemployed youth aged 25-29 in the field of technology, information technology and communications. The program is implemented by the Association of Informatics and Communications Companies of Greece (1600 study places).

2. Consulting, training and certification in digital marketing for the unemployed up to 29 years old in the field of small and medium-sized businesses in the tourism industry. The program is implemented by the Institute of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (1940 seats).

3. Hellenic Chamber of Commerce program to strengthen the knowledge and skills of unemployed young graduates under the age of 29 in dynamic sectors of the economic development model (2000 beneficiaries).

4. Program to strengthen the knowledge and skills of unemployed young graduates under 29 in dynamic sectors of the economic development model of the Hellenic Chamber of Geotechnics (1840 positions).

5. A program to strengthen the knowledge and skills of unemployed young graduates under the age of 29 in the dynamic sectors of the economic development model of the Hellenic Chamber of Technology (1950 positions).

6. Comprehensive intervention of the Central Union of Hellenic Chambers (4,500 positions) for the development of human resources and the fight against unemployment in the infrastructure and transport sector.

7. Comprehensive intervention of the Small Business Institute of the General Confederation of Professional Craftsmen of Greece to expand professional opportunities and integrate into the labor market for people over 30 years old in the agri-food industry (3,000 beneficiaries).

8. Comprehensive career empowerment and labor market integration intervention for the unemployed aged 30 and over in developing digital skills in culture. It will be implemented by INE-GSEE (7000 people).

Job

At the same time, 7 employment programs are “working” up to 36,051 subsidized jobs:

1. 3,400 new lignite job creation program for 12-18 months with a salary of 75-100% and a contribution subsidy of up to €16,794.

2. Gaining experience in 3,000 positions in lignite areas with 100% salary and subsidized contributions.

3. Employment program for 10,000 long-term unemployed people aged 45 and over with 80% of wages and contributions up to 13,709 euros.

4. A program for 10,000 unemployed people who face significant barriers in their reintegration into the labor market, with 75% of wages and a contribution subsidy of up to 16,800 euros.

5. Employment program for 6,500 long-term unemployed aged 55 to 67 with a subsidy rate of 75% up to 18,000 euros.

6. Program for 3,000 unemployed people aged 56 and over who completed the employment program for long-term unemployed people aged 55-67 with a subsidy of 8,580 euros.

7. New entrepreneurship programs for the unemployed aged 20-44 belonging to marginalized social groups.
