With the amendment of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the initiation and implementation of the procedure for determining the minimum wage for 2023 is accelerated, in order to minimal salary takes effect from 1ⁱⁿ April 2023, in line with recent commitments by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In particular, with regard to the time limits provided by the current legislation for each stage of the process, it is provided that:

1. Sending a written invitation from the Coordinating Committee of the Consultation to the relevant research bodies to write a report on the assessment of the current statutory minimum wage will take place before January 20.
2. Compilation and submission of the report is carried out no later than 3ⁱⁿ February 2023
3. The transfer of the memorandum and documentation of each person consulted by the Steering Committee to other representatives of the social partners, with an invitation for oral consultation, is carried out no later than 10ⁱⁿ February 2023.
4. The transfer of all memorandums and documentation of the consulted parties, as well as the report of the bodies to the Center for Planning and Economic Research (KEPE) for the preparation of a draft Conclusion on the consultation will take place no later than 20ⁱⁿ February 2023..
5. The draft opinion on consultations must be completed no later than the 28thⁱⁿ February 2023.
6. Finally, no later than 10ⁱⁿ March 2023.
