According to Panhellenic Focus Bari study | YouGov in which 1,000 people participated, the accuracy is now felt by all Greeks, with the vast majority seeing an overgrowth of almost everything from electricity, fuel, food and drink to cosmetics, electrical goods, etc. In particular, 97% of respondents answered that the price of electricity has risen little or too much, and 96% are seeing an excess or sufficient increase in automotive fuel. 76% (vs. 54% in the previous survey in April 2022) agree that the growth is also significant in terms of services such as travel and leisure, and entertainment outside the home is considered by the majority to be particularly expensive (80% of 73). %).

Due to the wave of accuracy, 97% of Greeks now say they have cut spending on at least one of the 18 items surveyed in the survey (electricity, travel, cosmetics, etc.), with 60% responding that they have done so because that this is not enough of his income, and the remaining 40% – for reasons of precaution. Compared to the previous Focus Bari survey, in April 70% of consumers cut spending in October, with 49% saying they did so due to insufficient income. According to the survey, everyone now says they have reduced their spending compared to April 2022, with residents of Athens (55%) and Thessaloniki (66%) saying this is mainly due to the fact that their incomes are insufficient. In particular, 8 out of 10 say they have reduced their electricity consumption (up from 75% in April 2022), and 77% are limiting their spending on groceries in supermarkets (up from 73%).

At the same time, the number of those who reduce their consumption of food and drinks is increasing (71% from 69%), and 64% are now limiting their spending on clothes and shoes (64% from 56%). So 70% of Greek consumers buy the essentials, and 74% (out of 61%) hunt for deals and discounts when buying groceries. Now, due to inflation, 77% say they are saving on electricity, gasoline and diesel (up from 71%), and 75% are really reconsidering their needs (up from 68%).
