People with disabilities: they ask for support measures for energy

With the 15 September mobilization at the Ministry of the Environment, the National Confederation of People with Disabilities (ESAmeA) warns if immediate and discrete measures are not taken regarding energy costs for people with disabilities, as well as subsidizing the energy needs of social care institutions and organizations of the disabled . The Confederation sent a letter to the Minister of the Environment and Energy, K. Skrekas, expressly stating that the lack of separate attention to subsidizing the energy needs of people with disabilities, people with chronic diseases and their families, with a special low electricity price per kilowatt-hour, is unacceptable. It is even noted that many of them use energy-intensive devices or have large needs for heating, cooling, etc. He also characterizes as unacceptable the fact that welfare agencies and social agencies, from day care centers for the disabled and shelters for a supported image lives before ESAmeA and its member organizations have been left unprotected by the energy crisis. Finally, he points out that the precautionary measures should be equal to or even greater than the precautionary measures taken against enterprises.
