According to the final data of Eurostat, inflation in Greece in July amounted to 11.3%. Recall that according to the initial assessment of European statistical services, inflation in the country was 11.5%.

Eurozone data confirmed Eurostat’s initial inflation estimate of 8.9%, compared with 8.6% in June and 2.2% a year ago.

France and Malta (6.8% each) and Finland (8% each) showed the lowest inflation in July. The highest inflation was recorded in Estonia (23.2%), Latvia (21.3%) and Lithuania (20.9%).

Compared to June, inflation fell in six member countries, remained stable in three and rose in 18.

In July, energy prices contributed the most to inflation (+4.02 percentage points), followed by food, beverages, tobacco products (+2.08 points), services (+1.60 points) and non-energy manufactured goods ( +1.16 points).
