Data for the second quarter of 2022 also shows that its revenue increased in parallel. Insurance Debt Collection Center (KEAO), as a result of which, in the period under review (April-June), they exceeded 409 million euros, and in total for 2022, 804.5 million euros were collected, covering most of the revenue of the entire 2021, which amounted to 992.8 million euros. This was also facilitated by the fact that the process of sending individual notifications was significantly intensified. Within 3 months, KEAO sent 449,025 individual notifications, effectively starting the enforcement process.
According to the data, at the end of June, the total amount of active debt settlements amounted to 381,748 in the amount of 4.29 billion euros. Of these, only 96,837 transactions are for a fixed amount of 12 payments, with a total regulated debt reaching 497.7 million euros. The settlement of 120 payments serves 212,572 debtors with a total repayment of 2.2 billion euros.
In three months, they increased by 590.4 million, reaching a total of 43.5 billion euros.
In total, revenue for the second quarter amounted to more than 409 million euros. Of these, 69%, or more than €280 million, were debt payments that were included in an agreement, of which €122 million were debts that were included in a fixed agreement of 12 payments. . According to the estimates of the leaders of the KEAO, increasing the number of payments to 24, as announced, will significantly increase the income of the Center, as it will push many debtors to pay off or restructure their debts.
In six months, 804.5 million euros were raised, while estimates for the end of the year are very optimistic, as it is possible to break the record of 2019, when 1.47 billion euros were raised. It should be noted here that in total for the 2nd quarter of 2022, 449,025 individual notices were served to debtors, which initiated the process of enforcement. In fact, KEAO is using the option of pausing the APD filing process to limit the incurrence of new debts. In the last quarter, this measure was applied to 360 employers as leverage to pressure their employees to pay contributions.
