
New Renault cars are equipped with a connected infotainment system OpenR link, which, in particular, has a catalog of programs to enrich the onboard experience. From now on, the French manufacturer is replenishing its catalog of partner applications 4 new entertainment programsavailable for free download: SongPop for Renault, Karacal for Renault, Kabriol and Les Incollables for Renault.
These 4 new apps are in addition to the 7 existing partner apps in the Renault catalogue, such as Amazon Music or Easypark, i.e. 11 applications in total available today.
Entertainment programs for Renault
New features include e.g. SongPop for Renault, a fun interactive music quiz app developed in collaboration with game developer Gameloft. This game allows all residents to play together using their mobile phones equipped with the SongPop companion app for Renault, available on Apple iOS and Android.
Multiple game types are available (solo or multiplayer) and you can choose your music style from the 120,000 tracks available. The sound of the game is broadcast through the speakers of the car, and passengers can test themselves thanks to the multiplayer mode: they will need to identify 10 pieces of music lasting 10 seconds as quickly as possible. When the car is stationary, the driver can play with other passengers or in “solo” mode.
Caracal for Renault is another application for discovering the history of the places around the car: thanks to audio guides and podcasts, the user learns the stories of the districts, cities and villages that he crosses. The experience is also available on the mobile app and features over 6,000 sound bubbles that invite you to discover the place.
Interactive and fun entertainment
Cabriolet is an app for 4-11 year olds: it’s a geo-located audio tour guide that offers stories between 6 and 10 minutes long, as well as fun content under a minute. The journey mode allows children to develop their curiosity and knowledge by making them a part of the journey, while the story mode allows passengers to discover French heritage while having fun with anecdotes or riddles.
Finally, the famous question-answer game. “The Incredibles” comes on board Renault with this program developed in collaboration with PlayBac: throughout the journey, children can learn and have fun answering questions, riddles and charades.
