THE EPZ (low-emission zones) in France is constantly being talked about: in fact, according to a recent study by the CSA institute, almost half of motorists oppose this measure, which consists in banning the oldest vehicles from driving in large French cities.

After debate in the Senate, negotiations on the ZFE continue in the National Assembly: group Unconquered Francethrough his deputy in the eighth electoral district of Hérault Sylvain Carrière has just filed the draft law on changing the rules for the application of the Federal Tax Code.

ZFE: Crit’air sticker reform proposed

Sylvain Carrière draws on the example of the metropolis of Montpellier, where the ZFE will cover approximately thirty municipalities in 2026, some of which are not (or very poorly) served by public transport.

Finally, all vehicles registered before 1997 cannot be classified and are automatically excluded.
