REPER, the party founded by Dacian Ciolos after his departure from USR, received a final decision on its creation from a Bucharest court on Wednesday, according to a party press release.
The five founders of the party are: Ramona Strugariu, Dragos Pislaru, Dacian Cholos, Dragos Tudorake and Alin Mitutsa.
REPER is managed by co-presidents Ramona Strugariu and Dragos Pislaru.
“REPER is today officially a political party that will campaign for a prosperous, European and just Romania for all its citizens. A liberal, open, pro-European party, a party that will offer solutions for the poor who cannot face the rising prices of food, energy, fuel and transport, as well as a plan for entrepreneurs, for those who create or develop a business in Romania. A party for which the equality of the sexes and opportunities is the rule. A party for which the rule of law is not a matter of discussion. A party that understands and supports children and young people, but also thinks about programs for the elderly to have an active and dignified life. A party that focuses on concrete solutions for education, health care and the environment, on a more efficient and responsible management A party for those at home, as well as for Romanians who were forced to leave the country. A party with long-term solutions for Romanian farmers,” said the two co-presidents of REPER.
On February 7, Dacian Cholos resigned as USR president, saying it was a natural and healthy decision, given that his program through which he proposed reforming the USR had been rejected by the party’s National Office. Cholos was at the head of the UDR for only 4 months, winning the election “with a crack” against his opponent Dan Barna.
The documents for the creation of REPER were submitted to the Bucharest Court on June 2.
