Ukraine has a clear plan for a new counteroffensive against Russian troops, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday, but said he could not publicly disclose the details, Reuters reported.

Last year, Kyiv troops launched a counteroffensive, but were unable to break through the defense lines established by Moscow troops in the Russian-occupied south and east of the country.

“There is a (counteroffensive) plan, the plan is clear, I cannot tell you the details,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a press conference in Kyiv.

He said that the large-scale military reshuffle earlier this month that replaced the commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s army was linked to a new plan of action on the battlefield.

“This plan is related to the change of leadership, there are corresponding changes.” In addition, “several plans will be prepared due to the leak of information,” Zelensky also said, without specifying the details.

Earlier, the Ukrainian president stated that Kyiv’s plans for a counteroffensive last year had been revealed and were “on the table in the Kremlin” even before the start of the operation. At the same time, he did not remember how this leak of information happened.
