The Polish military said on Friday that the object entered the country’s airspace from the side of the border with Ukraine on Friday morning and left it three minutes later. This came after Ukrainian authorities reported a massive Russian attack on several Ukrainian cities early Friday.

“The Ukrainian side and allies have previously confirmed our radar records that the object has left the territory of Poland,” a spokesman for the Operational Command told Reuters on Saturday.

Almost 500 soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces participated in the search near the city of Zamosc in the south-east of Poland, the operational command on Kh.

Moscow wants “concrete evidence” that the missile was Russian

On Friday evening, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland summoned Russia’s ChargĂ© d’affaires with a demand to explain the violation of its airspace.

Moscow will not give an explanation about the missile fired from Polish airspace until it is provided with “concrete evidence” that it was Russian, Andriy Ordash, Russia’s ChargĂ© d’affaires in Poland, said after a summons to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Opikun reports.

According to the Russian news agency RIA, Ordash said: “Until concrete evidence is provided, we will not give any explanation, as these accusations are baseless.”

He recalled an incident in November 2022, when a rocket killed two people in a Polish border village. “Then they also tried to blame the Russian side for this incident. Later it turned out that the missile was fired by the Ukrainian army,” Ordash said.
