Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said on Tuesday that Ukraine reserves the right to remove Vladimir Putin, as Russia also has a plan to remove the leadership from Kyiv by the end of the year, Ukrainian Pravda reports.

Zelenskyi hinted at the assassination of Putin in a wide-ranging interview with the British newspaper The Sun, in which he also talked about the existence of the “Maidan-3” plan in the Kremlin, which aims to remove him from office by any means before the end of this year. .

When asked by British journalists whether Ukraine would use the opportunity to kill Putin, if one arose, Zelensky avoided a yes or no answer, but his answer leaves no room for interpretation:

“This is a war, and Ukraine has every right to defend our land.”

“We do not believe that Putin or Russia (…) want to end this war. They want to kill us. And we want justice,” he added.

Zelensky compares the attempts on him with a famous movie

Regarding Russia’s many failed attempts to kill him, the Ukrainian president said they reminded him of the famous 1993 film “The Day of the Mole,” in which Bill Murray played a man who goes through the same mundane events every day.

Zelenskyi has compared his assassination attempts to the film several times, including in an interview a few months after the Russian invasion began.

Then he said that any person would be afraid to learn about the attempt on him “for the first, second, third and fourth time.” “But when things happen again, remember that movie Mole Day? I wake up every morning and it’s the same,” he told Axios in May 2022.

“I’ve survived five assassination attempts on Putin… it’s like COVID-19, it gets easier,” he told The Sun.

The American website Politico wrote in August of this year that the Ukrainian government has a plan in case of Zelenskyi’s murder, believing that military action will continue despite the initial shock.
