The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR) on Monday condemned Moscow’s alleged operation to transfer Western weapons captured by Russian forces in Ukraine to Hamas, in order to accuse Ukrainians of reselling weapons received from the West to some terrorist groups, EFE reports.

“The Russian army has already handed over to Hamas terrorists the weapons manufactured in the USA and the European Union countries, which it captured during the hostilities in Ukraine,” the GUR said in a statement.

The second stage of the plan, the GUR notes, consists in accusing the Ukrainian military of regularly selling Western weapons to terrorists.

As part of the Kremlin’s disinformation campaign, this lie should form the basis of a series of “revealing publications” and “investigations” in Western media, Ukrainian military intelligence claims.

“For greater persuasiveness, the Russian special services will try to use the comments of a traitor from the Border Guard Service of Ukraine, senior lieutenant Ruslan Sirovoy, who recently fled to Moscow,” the Ukrainian special services said in a statement. Ukrainian army.
