A new video from the front line in Ukraine shows the dramatic moment when a Russian soldier almost blew himself up.
In the video, taken by a camera attached to the soldier’s body, you can see how a soldier in the trenches and caught in the middle of a firefight throws a grenade.
The soldier throws the grenade with his right hand, but the explosive device hits a tree right in front of the soldier. The grenade ricochets and actually returns in the direction from which it was thrown.
But the soldier has a reflex that saves him: he stretches out his hand and hits the grenade like a volley, sending it somewhere further from his position. The soldier then drops to the ground and positions himself to protect himself from the next blast.
