
Six Ukrainian pilots were killed during a combat mission near Bakhmut, Yevhen Rakita, spokesman for the 18th separate aviation brigade of the “Ihor Sikorsky” Armed Forces, said on Ukrainian Public Broadcasting on Wednesday, CNN reports.
On Tuesday, “August 29, six pilots of the 18th separate aviation brigade of the Igor Sikorsky Air Force were killed in the direction of Bakhmut. This happened while performing a combat mission,” Rakita said.
According to him, all six pilots were officers.
He declined to reveal other details of the incident for security reasons, News.ro quoted him as saying.
“Yesterday, 6 pilots in the 18th tactical aviation brigade (Poltava region) were killed in the Bakhmut direction.
