The newly formed Armenian battalion “ARBAT”, which is planned to be sent to fight in Donbas, was “blessed” in Moscow, and Vyacheslav Veremiy, who was involved in the murder of the Ukrainian journalist in 2014 during the Euromaidan, took part in the ceremony, writes Ukrainian Pravdareferring to Telegram and ZN.ua channels.

In the Armenian Apostolic Church in Moscow, a consecration ceremony was held for the fighters of the new Armenian ARBAT battalion, who are going to fight in Donbas on the side of Russia.

Russian Telegram channels published photos and videos from the ceremony. Azerbaijani military expert Agil Rustamzade posted the image on Facebook.

The ceremony was also attended by Armen Sarkisian, who is suspected of organizing calls for violence during protests in Kyiv in 2014 and “death squads” that hunted down participants of the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine.

“Ukrainian Pravda” claims that since February 24, 2022, Sargsyan has been robbing businesses in the territories temporarily occupied by the Russians.

His main task was to create a new private military company, the sponsor of which was to be the Russian-Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, who was also present at the ceremony.

The commander of the so-called Wild Donbas Division, Akhra Avidzba, said that it will be a full-fledged battalion that will fight under the flag of Armenia.

The commander of the “Arbat” battalion, Hayk Gasparian, admitted that he gained combat experience in Wagner’s group.

Journalist Vyacheslav Veremiy was killed in Kyiv on the night of February 18-19, 2014 during protests.

The investigation into the Veremia case named Sarkisian as one of the organizers of the gangs that hunted the participants of the Revolution of Dignity. Yuriy Krysin, who was convicted of attacking a journalist, testified against him.

According to Krysin, he received $20,000 from Sarkisian to terrorize protesters. He later recanted his testimony.
