Great Britain introduced new sanctions against Russia. British authorities have announced a ban on Kremlin-linked individuals and companies from accessing British legal expertise, Sky News reports.
From now on, British lawyers will no longer be able to advise Russian companies on certain issues.
This is the last step aimed at shortening Moscow’s economic path.
British officials said the sanction could affect Russia’s ability to receive legal advice on everything from trade deals between global corporations to international money loans.
The Justice Department, which announced the move, said Russia is highly dependent on Western countries for legal expertise.
Britain previously provided legal services to Russian companies worth more than 5 million pounds.
