Kinga Barabasi is the first champion of Europe in taekball.

An athlete from Romania won the tacball gold medal at the European Games in Krakow, defeating France’s Amelie Julien in the final 2-0 (12-9, 12-6).

Barabashi won straight-sets in Group C, 2-0 (12-5, 12-4) against Slovakian Adriana Kecerova, 2-0 (12-7, 12-7) over Czech Iva Burvalova, 2-0 (12- 7) , 12-4) with the Portuguese Carla Couto.

In the quarterfinals, Kinga Barabasi beat German Dana Gillmann with a score of 2-0 (12-7, 12-4), and in the semifinals, she beat Dane Nanna Lind Christensen with a score of 2-0 (12-4, 12-7).

Apor Gyeorgydeak, another tacball gold medal for Romania

Apor Georgideak also won the gold medal in the men’s taekwondo event, defeating Poland’s Adrian Dusak in the final.

Djordjak beat Slovak Marian Badar 2-0 (12-4, 12-6) and Portugal’s Joao Pinheiro 2-0 (12-4, 12-3) in Group A.

In the quarterfinals, he defeated the Ukrainian Oleg Usetsenko with a score of 2-0 (12-3, 12-3), and in the semifinals he won against the Frenchman Hugo Rabaud with a score of 2-1 (12-11, 6-12, 12-7).
