President of the U.S.A Joe Biden he wished “good luck” to the expected Ukrainian counterattack against the Russian troops… fingers crossed.
Receiving Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in the Oval Office, the American president asked journalists what were the chances of the success of the counterstrike planned by Ukraine.
Biden “answered” without saying a word, simply raising his hand and crossing his fingers.
President Biden with Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen. I asked@POTUSif the Ukrainian counteroffensive works. He couldn’t respond verbally because the White House press staff was yelling so loudly for us to leave the Oval. But he looked at me and crossed his fingers pic.twitter.com/PFkvfGbMpo

Earlier today, Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Hana Malyar announced that her country had launched a “defensive operation” that “includes counteroffensives,” without specifying if it was a major counteroffensive that Kiev had been announcing for months.
Kuleba: We have enough weapons
For his part, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told Reuters that Ukraine has enough weapons for a counterattack, and this operation will give the country the victory it needs to join NATO.
In an interview, Kuleba acknowledged that “probably” Ukraine will be able to apply for NATO membership only after the end of hostilities.
However, when asked, he refused to clarify whether the counter-offensive had already begun. He replied that the main thing is not when it started, but to end with the victory of Ukraine.
“The next goal is to join NATO”
Kyiv’s next big goal is to join NATO because, in his words, “it will stop not this war, but future wars.”
“Therefore, the best way to ensure security in the region is to ensure that Ukraine becomes a member of NATO,” he stressed.
For months, the Ukrainian authorities have said they are preparing a major counteroffensive to force Russian troops to withdraw from the occupied territories. But they warned that they would not reveal anything about their plans or the timing of the attack.
“Defense operations (of Ukraine) include counter-offensive actions. Therefore, in some areas we are conducting aggressive actions, ”Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Mallyar said earlier. She spoke, without going into details, about “micro-conflicts” in the south, where Russian troops are “defending”.
