Freddie Beleris’s pre-trial detention has been extended by the Appeal Court of the Tirana Special Court following an appeal filed by Mayor-elect Heimarras and his close associate Pantelis Kokavesis.
According to ERT, the decision was made to uphold the decision of the court of first instance of the special court regarding Freddy Beleris, who remains in custody.
On the other hand, the court referred to the state of health of Pantelis Kokavesis, who was released from prison with an obligation to appear before the authorities.
However, they are reminded that Beleris is in the prison hospital of Tirana.where he was transferred last Monday when he felt unwell due to heart problems.
Earlier today, Thursday, the Greek Foreign Minister raised the issue of releasing Fr. Beleris and P. Kokavesis, according to diplomatic sources.
