Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Alexey Reznikovconfirmed that his country’s armed forces were already using British Storm Shadow Long Range Missiles.
The minister made the relevant statement during a joint press conference with his British counterpart. Ben Wallacewho is on a visit to Kyiv, Novaya Gazeta Europe writes with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
“We had the opportunity to shake hands with pilots who have been trained in Britain and are already successfully using a weapon called Storm Shadow,” Reznikov said.
Ukrainian authorities report the use of such weapons for the first time.
“The president Putin he must realize that he cannot win the illegal war that he himself started. It won’t work until the international community becomes stronger in countering this aggression,” the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Reznikov thanked Britain for supporting Ukraine from the first day of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
