
The Ministry of Defense of Russia on Wednesday condemned the attack by Ukrainian drones on the Russian reconnaissance ship “Ivan Hurs” in the exclusive economic zone of Turkey.
“Today at 05:30 Moscow time (02:30 GMT) the Armed Forces of Ukraine made an unsuccessful attempt to attack with three unmanned high-speed boats the ship of the Black Sea Fleet “Ivan Gurs”, which was guarding the Turkish Stream. and Blue gas pipelines Stream,” said the press release of the Russian Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, EFE and Agerpres agencies report.
According to the statement of the military, the attack took place “in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Turkey”.
“All enemy boats were destroyed 140 kilometers northeast of the Bosphorus by the weapons systems of the Russian ship,” he added.
Russia said that the reconnaissance ship “continues to carry out the tasks assigned to it”.
The Russian military command added that “after the September 26, 2022 terrorist attack on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are performing tasks to protect this type of infrastructure.”
